Wolves Gain Control with Game 1 Victory, 106-99

Edwards Leads the Way with 43 Points

The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken control of their second-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets with a 106-99 victory, the Nuggets now finds themselves in an unfamiliar position of trailing for the first time in these playoffs. In Game 1, the Wolves were led by Anthony Edwards, who poured in a game-high 43 points. He was also a force on the defensive end, grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid also came up big for the Wolves, scoring 13 points, including a key 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.
The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Aaron Gordon added 14 points, and Will Barton had 13 points.
The Nuggets will try to rebound when the two teams meet again in Game 2 on Saturday, May 4.
